Dalia Fahmy

Associate Professor of Political Science - Long Island University

Dr. Dalia Fahmy is Associate Professor of Political Science at Long Island University where she teaches courses on US Foreign Policy, International Relations, and the Politics of the Middle East. Recently, she has been a Visiting Scholar at the Center for the Study of Genocide and Human Rights at Rutgers University and a Senior Fellow at the Center for Global Policy in Washington, D.C. Her scholarship focuses on the future of democracy in the Middle East and most recently on the effects of Islamophobia on US foreign policy. She also has been interviewed by and written editorials for various media outlets including ABC, CBS, CBC, CNBC, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, the Huffington Post, the Washington Post, and Al Jazeera. She has presented her research in various venues ranging from Harvard, Princeton, and UCLA to the Middle East Institute, World Bank, and the Wilson Center.
